Home Frequently Asked Questions My Library

1. Why do you focus on the EPUB format?
EPUB is a standard ebook format recommended by The International Digital Publishing Forum. It is also endorsed by the Association of American Publishers.

2. Do you use Digital Rights Management (DRM)?
No. All of our ebooks are not protected in any way. After they are downloaded, they can be read without "activation" or "unlock".

3. Can I distribute the downloaded ebooks?
No, unless it is specified otherwise. Whether an ebook is for free or for sale, it is generally for your personal use only. However, creative commons ebooks can be freely distributed.

4. What is my "Mini Account"?
"Mini Account" is your personal account with us. Its purpose is to save transaction fees for small purchases or donations. If you use credit card to purchase or donate, the credit card processor will charge us at least $0.30 for each transaction. By depositing $20 or more into your Mini Account in My Library, you can use it to pay several small purchases or donations without wasting money and time on credit card transactions.

5. What is the difference between "list price" and actual cost?
They are the same if the total list price of all titles to be purchased is $20 or more. For smaller purchases, the actual cost will be $0.50 higher than the total list price if paid by credit card.  To save the extra charge for small purchases, you may deposit $20 or more into your Mini Account in advance.  There is no extra charge if paid from Mini Account.
